This videotape describes the successful treatment of a post-radiation mediastinal tracheoesophageal fistula that occurred after a T3, NO, MO squamous cell carcinoma of the subglottic larynx had been treated by total laryngectomy and high-dose radiation therapy. The fistula occurred two and a half years after the operation. Postoperative nutrition is emphasized with the insertion of a feeding (Witzel) jejunostomy. The patient healed uneventfully and continues to do well seven years following the operation.
