Many techniques for repair of post myocardial infarction aneurysms have been described during the past three decades. Recently we have successfully used an internal repair of anteroseptal aneurysm using a fabric patch graft to restore normal configuration and volume to the left ventricular cavity. This simplified technique provides excellent results by avoiding the distortion of the ventricle and disturbance of the surface anatomy of the heart, common after procedures involving excision and plication.
