Length: 9 min.

As the disappointing long-term patency rate of saphenous vein grafts are recognized and the excellent long-term patency of the internal mammary artery appreciated, cardiac surgeons have increasingly turned to the internal mammary artery with the expectation of improved long-term patency. This tape was produced to demonstrate the harvesting technique for the internal mammary artery, as well as the use of bilateral internal mammaries, sequential internal mammaries, and free internal mammary artery grafts to extend the use of internal mammary arteries to bypass multiple vessels.
