Step-by-Step

Surgical Procedures can be broken down into core steps. Each of these steps often has variations in methodology. Specific tricks of the trade are often referred to as Pearls. This series of programs delivers these Pearls from masters of Laparoscopic Surgery.

In this program, we have broken the Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass procedure into 13 basic steps. Selecting each step will reveal one or more methods as performed by the contributors. Specially prepared commentaries are included to enhance your understanding of each Pearl, and to help you develop your own unique set of surgical skills.

How is Pearls different from other laparoscopic surgery videos?

A standard narrated surgical video is generally one author presenting one case, or a particular technique, and is edited for time. SAGES Pearls offers multiple examples of the salient points for a technique, from the perspective of multiple expert operators.

Note: This program is designed to run in a computer equipped with DVD-ROM drive. This will not play in a TV DVD player.
