Lobectomy is a standard of care for lung cancer. Recently segmentectomy has been shown to have equivalent oncologic outcomes in select group of patients. It is especially important as parenchyma preserving procedure in patient with previous lung resections. However, adoption of this technique remains low due to complexity of the anatomy and technical challenges. We present a case of the LULUD segmentectomy for stage 1a NSCLC in a patient with prior open right upper lobectomy for cancer.
