This video provides an overview of the physiologic effects of aging, describe mental status and psychosocial assessments of elderly surgical patients and plan and evaluate health instruction for these patients and their family members. The video will also promote perioperative nurses' competence in caring for elderly patients who undergo surgical procedures.
